“People aren’t either wicked or noble. They’re like chef’s salads, with good things and bad things chopped and mixed together in a vinaigrette of confusion and conflict.”

I thought I was getting my homework done until I re-read the directions. This didn’t fit so I’ll post it here…but this is showing me that Creative Writing class is like a roller coaster ride; scares the bejoovies out of you thinking about it and then it was so fun you gotta do it again.

“Just write”, she said.

“I don’t know what to write about”

“Write that” was her next reply.

So I picked up my

beloved pen

and spiral notebook

“Oh the feel of the pen gliding

like an Olympic figure skater

across the cool blue lines

of the crisp paper,

YES”

I will write

about nothing

about everything

I can doodle even.

But will anyone else understand

the orgasmic feeling

of pen to paper?

She must,

she just let me find out for myself.

Though I’ve heard the saying,

” The pen is mightier than the sword”.  

They failed to mention

“not just any pen”

It has to be just the right pen, you know, like the old Bic pens of the ’70′s, which a Big Chief tablet.

And God forbid, you take my pen.

And so though you think

insane I may be going,

My pen is my most cherished possession

and Paper is Priceless.

I could not ask for more,

and will die happy, if end the end

I have a Pen and a pad of paper.
